Project 9

Scenes can change dramatically with the changing light. This series of images were all taken within a period of one hour. In South East Asia the so called 'golden hour' is more like ten minutes because the sun rises and sets far quicker than in the northern hemisphere.

These images were taken at Victory monument in Bangkok between 6pm and 7pm.

This image had an exposure of one second at f22.

It's important to be in position well before the sun sets in South East Asia if you want to catch the best light of the day. Same applies in the morning. After the first hour of sunlight the brightness of the sun becomes blinding and casts dark, sharp shadows.

This image had an exposure of half a second at f11.

This image had an exposure of 4 seconds at f22.

This image had an exposure of 15 seconds at f16.
